Kedarkantha Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s most popular Himalayan winter treks, offering an exciting combination of snow, adventure, and spectacular mountain scenery. Located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, the trail passes through beautiful pine and oak forests, open meadows, and peaceful mountain campsites. The trek becomes especially attractive during winter when the landscape is covered in snow.

The highlight is reaching the Kedarkantha Summit, where trekkers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Starting from the charming village of Sankri, the journey provides a wonderful blend of nature, adventure, and Himalayan culture, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers.

Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary (5 Days / 4 Nights)

  • Morning pickup from Dehradun Railway Station
  • Drive via Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, Netwar along Tons River valley
  • Meals: Breakfast en route, Lunch at Purola
  • Overnight stay at Sankri (base village, 1,950 m)
  • Trek through dense pine & oak forests, snow patches in winter
  • Reach Juda Ka Talab -  a serene high-altitude lake surrounded by forests
  • Meals: Breakfast at Sankri, Packed lunch during trek.
  • Overnight camping at Juda Ka Talab (2,700 m)
  • Gradual ascent through meadows and ridges
  • Stunning views of Swargarohini, Black Peak, Bandarpoonch ranges

  • Overnight camping at Kedarkantha Base Camp (3,500 m)

Payment Policy

  1. Booking Confirmation: 25% advance is required to confirm the booking. 25% upon hotel voucher issuance and 50% two days before travel.
  2. Cancellation & Refund: Cancellation charges depend on service providers. A ₹1,000 or 10% service fee per person (whichever is higher) applies to refundable cancellations. No refund for cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows. Cancellations before 15 days receive a 50% refund.
  3. Changes & Amendments: Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
  4. Travel Disruptions: Delays or additional expenses caused by weather, landslides, roadblocks, strikes, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances will be borne by the traveler.
  5. Hotels: Check-in/check-out follows hotel policy. Upgrades, early check-in, or late checkout are subject to availability and additional charges.
  6. Transport: Vehicles are provided as per the itinerary only. Driver and vehicle details are shared before travel.
  7. Documents: Travelers must carry valid government-issued ID and required travel documents.
  8. Health & Safety: Travelers are responsible for their fitness and should inform the agency about medical conditions or special requirements.
  9. Luggage & Cloakroom: Luggage storage, cloakroom, and baggage handling charges are payable by the traveler.
  10. Accommodation: Due to limited availability, alternative hotels or camps of similar category may be provided where required.
  11. Misconduct: Misbehavior or abusive conduct may result in cancellation of services without refund.
